Summary:
I have various ecological field research experience from researching insects to birds. In graduate school I managed multiple research projects and obtained grant funding. Before beginning graduate school I worked in an insect collection, in various field biology positions, and as a middle school math teacher in South Korea. Additionally, I have been involved in the greater entomological community by serving as the Ecological Society of America-Agroecology section secretary and serving as a Maryland Entomological Society newsletter editor. I have also become regularly involved in extension through facilitating mentorship in the Girls Outdoor Adventure in Leadership and Science, teaching children at the Siena school, a special education school, about insects and giving talks to farmers on integrated pest management and pollinator conservation.
